Team Yankee/Microarmor Soviet Supports

Did up some support weapons for the Microarmor Cold War Soviets. While I had a bunch of random stuff, none of it actually aligned up with the Team Yankee support weapons, so I remedied that problem.

Cold War/Team Yankee - Americans

Started some U.S. Cold War stuff for Team Yankee...in 6mm of course.  125 pts currently. Need decals before I can finish off the A10s and Cobras.

DZC: More Monorails

Progress has been slow recently, but I did bang out three more DZC monorail kits...12 train cars and 21 track pillars. I just went for a quick job, since I already have one "nice" monorail, and these will just be thrown in the travelling terrain box.

4Ground DZC Terrain - District 22

So I haven't painted much at all recently...because I've been buried under new DZC terrain! Finally finished up 28 of the 4ground 10mm sci-fi buildings - 14 of the District I and 14 of the District XXII.

Painted up the figures from new Plaid Hat boardgame, Tail Feathers. Can't wait to get some games of this in!

BFAS: Cossack Odds and Ends

Some random odds and ends for my BFAS Cossacks...a few command stands, a priest, some more scouts, and three more stands of mounted cossacks. With the exception of 3 more wagons awaiting missing parts, this will finish off my Cossacks.

Kings of War: Wood Elf Silverbreeze Cavalry

Finished off a troop of cavalry for my KoW Wood Elves. Not sure that a troop of Silverbreeze cavalry is actually worth it in the game, but didn't feel like purchasing (GW so expensive!) and making 10 of these guys...five looks cool enough for me...they'll just probably get shot off the board turn one....

By Fire and Sword: Cossack Moloitsy

Finished up a pile of Cossack Moloitsy. They are pretty much the crappy Cossack infantry, but the army will never turn down some guys with guns, and a couple banners are required choices in BFAS anyway. Added to the 8 stands I have done, this gives me 24 stands of them.

Microarmor Polish: T72s

Banged out a quick 10x T72s for my microarmor collection, since the upcoming Team Yankee doesn't seem to allow my horde of T55s. Five normal, and five with reactive armor.

By Fire and Sword: Dismounted Mounted Cossacks

Yeah, confusing enough? So these are the dismounted version of the unit "Mounted Cossacks". They basically function like dragoons that can also fight in close combat. I actually think they are the strongest unit option in the Cossack army.

Fall-In Loot Haul

Every HMGS show I return from I am even more disenchanted with. This Fall-In appears to have shrunk even more than other recent HMGS events, despite hearing some staff claiming attendance over 2000, I have no idea where they all were.

Nonetheless, the company I had was fun. We played Dead of Winter into the wee hours of the morning, got one BFAS game in with Frank, and hanging out with the BFAS crew is always fun. This trip's loot haul was pretty small - replaced my damaged BFAS rulebook with a fresh one, grabbed a few minor BFAS reinforcements, a couple Cold War microarmor things, and a dirt cheap box of Wood Elves in the swap meet.

Kings of War: Tree Herders

A trio of Tree Herders for my Kings of War Wood Elves. I'll probably only ever use two, not three, but I can't turn down a good package deal.

Kings of War: 28mm Winged Hussars

Some 28mm Winged Hussars from Warlord Games. Abyssmal models and kit, in my opinion, further reinforcing my opinion that people are just content with setting with subpar when it comes to historical figures. Also they don't give you enough wings to give each hussar two...in addition many of the sculpts won't take two wings even if you cast them. They rationale it has being more historically accurate, but really, who buys winged hussars and doesn't want the iconic wings???

Kings of War: Green Lady's Wild Guard

Painting has been kind of slow as I've been working on some house projects while waiting for bases to come in for my wood elves. But, I finished up a unit of elves for my "Green Lady's Wild Guard". It's an elite upgraded unit that can only be taken if you take the Green Lady, which I plan to. (She's on the painting table now!)

BFAS: Registered Cossacks

Painted up some more Registered Cossacks for my BFAS Cossack skirmish list. Just need to work on some dismounts for the "Mounted Cossacks" and some Wagons and I'll have the list maxed out with all the options.

BFAS: Mounted Cossacks and 28mm Winged Hussars

Painted up six stands of mounted Cossacks for BFAS. Still need to work on the dismounted versions. 

White fuzz on the bases I'll cover up once I magnetize them.

First unit of Kings of War Dryads Forest Shamblers complete. This was a test run to see if I could do the whole foliage thing...I'm pretty happy with it so I'll finish up the rest soon.

DZC: PHR Reinforcements

Marcos Baros modified Type 4, a Nemesis Command Type 4, the Medusa's x-wing Triton X, and another Neptune.

WIP Forest Drayds

Some work in progress Kings of War dryads. The models are actually done paint wise...but I plan to do a lot with the base, leaf scatter and such...and I may attempt to do some tree flocking in the dryads themselves...we'll see how adventurous I get.

DZC Shaltari - Ronin and Samurai

Some Shaltari Ronin and Samurai. These guys are basically Shaltari in giant warsuits...as described in the story, the "step" between standard warsuits and promotion to the larger walkers.

My Scourge has long been my neglected DZC army, despite actually being my first...early on Joe claimed Scourge as "his", so it made little sense to keep up my Scourge as I had access to his 6000pts whenever I wanted. But as time goes on, and there's no DZC models left for me to obtain for the other four factions....my Scourge inevitable grew.

GenCon 2015 Photodump

Just got back from GenCon 2015....my favorite gaming convention by far. I didn't take very many pictures this year...just because there was so much to do I didn't stop to take a lot of pictures. There's tons more better photos up all over the internet over the coming weeks anyway.

Age of Sigmar Round One - Failure

I don't have much to say here. Joe and I played an Age of Sigmar game yesterday. I played mostly Skaven with a few Demon allies, and he played Orcs and Goblins. I have no idea how many points since there are no points, but probably about 5k (but not a legal force org) of the old points system. We also didn't put out any terrain since..well...it doesn't matter.

 Busy prepping for Historicon. Finished off 9 more stands of Swedish Reiters that will be used as Imperial Cuirassiers for the event, but they still need dullcote so no pictures yet. I've also been working on labels for the back of the bases, printed off very tiny and cut to fit the back of the Litko bases. Should make the experience of walk-ins for the Historicon game a little easier.

Not much in the way of painting progress recently due to poor lighting in my painting room and rainy days outside so not much natural light getting in, but I have gotten quite a few games in my new game room in the new house.

Finally starting to get some painting done in the new house. Still don't have my painting room set up yet (waiting on some furniture) but I've managed to set up a small booth and lightbox in the dining room. Painted up some FoW Vietnam Brown Water Navy boats.

New Gaming Room

Haven't gotten to upload a lot since we just moved into our new house. But, I do have a much larger gaming room now! It'd dedicated to just gaming, with my 8x4 ft table out of storage and back in use. I also hope to put a smaller board game table in as well. As you can see, its still full of A LOT of boxes that need to be emptied.
