Some Shaltari reinforcements I've had in the queue for a while. My Shaltari theme is super simple and fast to paint, so knock them out a few nights ago.
I do fill in the inlaid filagree patterns on the Shaltari with a blue pin wash, but it doesn't come through in photographs well. But the surfaces aren't QUITE as flat as they look in the photos.
The Tarantulas are heavy armor killers, covering a gap in the Shaltari arsenal. The heavier the target's armor is, the more damage these grav cannons can do!
Thunderbirds are the Shaltari light gunship. An original wave 1 model I never got around to painting up because they had a unique trait in Dropzone Commander - they were bad. DZC doesn't really have "bad units", but for a while, the Thunderbirds were really trying to be. Now they've been given a boost in the form of Evasive-2, which makes them a bit more tempting to put on the tabletop.
