Warhammer: Skaven Reinforcements

Painted up some more End Times Skaven. Here we have the newest Thanquol and Boneripper model, and a trio of the new Stormfiends.

Skaven: Warpseer

Warhammer Fantasy. My first miniatures game. Probably the one I've played the most, as well. Skaven will always have a spot in my heart, and I continue to order the newest Skaven releases, astronomical prices be damned.

Some Random Game Pics: WFB and BA

No real content here today - just a few pics from some games I played today. Not enough of either to really make a batrep.

First I played Jay in a 1000pt Fantasy game. Jay was playing Chaos and I brought the Skavens. It ended up really close on VP with Jay eeking out the edge for the win. Apparently table quarters aren't a thing anymore..oh well!

Then I played a 1000pt Bolt Action game with John. I played my Polish Black Brigade and he played Germans.

I squeezed out the win in this one. Can't stop the Tankettes!

Warhammer Fantasy SAGA?

Chris started the idea of using SAGA rules with some WFB figures - and Joe jumped on the chance to use his only painted army for any game system. I fielded my Skaven as Anglo Saxons and Joe used his Dark Elves as Welsh.

More Skavens

More skavens for Pride of Lions. This is more than enough characters than I will ever need. Still need to work on more units, but I'm out of bases. And rats. While the rats are great, Splintered Light doesn't really package them for Pride of Lions, so buying a "pack" doesn't even give enough for one unit. I currently have five units ready (1 Slinger, 2 Clanrats, 2 Rat Ogres). Hopefully that will be enough to get a feel for the game.

This is my company commander. Three rats on a 40mm base.

These guys are random heroes. Cheap, disposable, raises a units dice level by one.

Grey seers, or spell casters. Not that I needed four, but Splintered Light gives me one for each Rat Ogre I buy..so...

Two rats on a 25mm base. For my 2ic. The one in the back is the same figure as the heroes above. The one in the front will be used for my Assassins (unit champions), but painted in black on a single 20mm square base. 

Tomorrow my Dropzone Commander stuff arrives, so I'll get some pictures of that up soon. Hopefully I can do a full unboxing with pictures. Sadly, only my PHR will arrive, so until the UCM ships out, I won't be able to get any battle reports up. That's fine though, cause I have lots of projects on the side!

Pride of Lions Ratmen Army

Started work on my Pride of Lions Ratmen army. The figures are all Splintered Light. Just discovered these guys last week at Historicon and the figures are awesome. Just a quick basecoat and dip paintjob for them, and some hastily made movement trays from balsa. This is barely a start on a Pride of Lions army. Working on some characters next while I await bases to do more units.
